I went through the guitar setup book by Dan Erlewine. I was
surprised.....well.....shocked to discover not word one on pickups!!
Besides tuning, the most common thing players probably do is replace
pickups! At a minimum I would expect some discussion of pickup setup,
pole piece adjustment, distance from strings....but SQUAT!!!!.

Pickup set up is different for every guitar and player. I shudder to
think how many replacement pickups there are.

This just seems so odd, since pickups *are* covered in the setup
chapters of the Guitar Player Repair Guide, also by Erlewine.
