Hey all,

I want to order two TOM's to replace on my excel's from stew
mac. I have read the archive, but on the web site there are two or
three different kinds. Which one fits right?

Is it the:

Gotoh Tune-o-matic Bridge with Standard Posts or

Gotoh Tune-o-matic Bridge with Studs/Bushings

I am planning to pre-order so that they arrive when the guitars do.

Thanks,

Ask customer support at DA to be sure.

Some of the TOMs at Stew-Mac are cheap shit and sound bad although
they'll probably intonate well and won't rattle.

The Gotoh ABR-1 copy I have is a nice sound bridge but it uses the
Nashville diameter studs, not a true ABR-1 stud. Not sure if the Gotoh
TOM that Stew-Mac now sells is the same one though.

It's a slippery slope out there for decent sounding TOMs (most of them
suck) and especially to get the right fit on a rosewood base. Most of
the rosewood bases available are made with the Nashville sized stud
diameter though. Sorry to say, but your best best is to buy a real
Gibson ABR-1 + rosewood base or a Gibson Nashville bridge (and the
Gibson parts are pricey) and a rosewood base from Allparts.

Part #: BP_0037-0R0

Don't expect 100% compatibility between the rosewood base that comes
stock on your DA to fit any TOM bridge, ABR-1 or Nashville. But you
might get lucky too.
