I'm just a film hack

In my day, I hacked away at what I had to hack away at. In the latter
days luckily I got a Getty contract. I guess Mr. Getty and Company
took a liking to what I had to offer. If you go to their home page
you'll read where it says they're awlways on the lookout for archive,
vintage film which is what they chose. I have lots of other stuff that
I think is just as valuable, perhaps even moreso but if that's awl Mr.
Getty wants then by golly who am I to argue with Mr. Getty?

When I was doing Super 8 I just hacked away at strange, unusual and
beautiful things, like for instance who could argue with my clips of
The Greatest Athlete Who Ever Lived? You can see the man makes Mickey
Mantle look like Mickey Mouse! So how am I supposed to have confidence
or interest in professional sports? I don't. But then again, I guess
that's the humanoid way of doing things. Mortal humanoids dancing
about and playing with each other to and fro. That's awl I see there.
Maybe other people see other things there?

You see when we were growing up I thought TGAWEL was God himself. When
we went out eating he dumped his fries into the empty left portion of
the styrofoam container and then we awl dumped our fries in the
styrofoam in turn the way he did. And my god when we were playing
softball (thank god it wasn't hardball) he played shortstop and I
played First Base. He used to wind up and throw to First and I found
myself standing with one foot on the bag cowering for my life rather
than trying to catch the ball. However most of the time I caught the
ball.

Another thing; if he was on your team you had an automatic win for
your team. That man would never lose. You can see it in the hacks. The
NY Yankees wanted him during this era...no minor leagues or anything.
Just right into uniform, clean-up position and viola! There you have
the Greatest Athlete Who Ever Lived.
