Mike DeMicco: "As the Sun Sets"

Cool CD alert! I know some of you are already familiar with Mike DeMicco's
playing from his work with the Dolphins and the Brubeck Brothers. I just got
a copy of his CD, and I really like it a lot. He's one of those guys who
manages to reference the "straightahead" thing without being straitjacketed
by it. Great warm sound, cool lines and some very fine original tunes; he's
a helluva writer as well as a player in my book. I highly recommend it!

Before anyone asks, I'm not spamming the group and I don't have anything to
gain other than the satisfaction of telling you about some music I like.
(If I were going to spam, I'd use ridiculous pseudonyms and they'd be posts
extolling the same artist, all coming from the same domain name... hmmm...)

No problem. Glad you liked it. Mike's a very nice guy who wouldn't resort to
the blowing-your-own-horn tactics I see some guys using; I just thought he
deserved more attention.
