This sounds just like my approach. Especially the turning to bandmates
part; gotta have some eye contact, IMHO.
Funny, when I was a young lad, starting out doing rock covers, I
always stood up to practice (and, of course, to play out). Never
thought to sit back then. Not sure why. (Maybe I wuz practicin' ma
rock mooves! Nah. Never really had any. ;-)
Now I sit pretty much all the time to practice. Not sure why. Lotsa
time spent living-room-watching-TV practicing (admittedly not always
of the highest quality), but I'm even usually sitting down right in
front of my amp when alone in a quiet house. I think that love to hear
the tonality of the amp/guitar combination. However, that's also
probably not good to do because it never really sounds like that at a
gig.
