..but none in stock!
Ed Roman is such a tool:
"Plywood is made from lots of thin pieces of wood that are all glued
together with grains facing in different directions for added
strength. The main problem with plywood is that it does not sound
like real wood. In fact the glue between the layers or plys gobbles up
all the sweet resonant overtones."
What a load of self-serving horseshit.
And then there is this jem:
"Solid Wood!! Look at the thickness of the wood in the pickup
cavity !!!
Over 1" Thick"
His first selling point for a thin-bodied hollow guitar was that the
top is solid wood and hand carved. Now his second selling point is
that the top is a slab of maple over an inch thick. No wonder this
clown has such a terrible reputation.
I just heard the same thing from a friend that lives in Vegas. He said
he will never go into his shop after his first encounter with them.
Sorry about this post I had know idea. I thought the custom hardware
idea was kind of cool.
However, this write up is typical of his hype. Guys seem to either
love him or hate him. I ran into a guy who teaches guitar in the LV
public shools, who has bought a number of custom guitars from Ed, and
has nothing but good things to say.
