And about 1G overpriced, IMHO.

And he will see it everyday at the price he is asking in these times.

I took a look at this and am unclear about the enthusiasm of your post.
Unless having a natural one is of that much importance (I do like natural
myself, to be fair), a brand new Tal Farlow is only $3900 at Sam Ash, $100
less than his asking price and free shipping:
http://www.samash.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_Tal%20Farlow%20Hollow%20Body%20Electric%20Guitar_-1_10052_10002_-49954977?cm_mmc=Froogle-_-Hollow%20Body%20Electric-_-Tal%20Farlow%20Hollow%20Body%20Electric%20Guitar-_-GHSTFVSNH
making this seem not a real eBay "find of a lifetime".

I don't mean to argue, but I can think of another guitar or two, available
in natural, which sell for just around that $4000 mark which I would just as
soon (actually sooner) own. Btw, I own 5 Gibson guitars and am a fan, so
this is not Gibson-bashing. It's just that there are other things out
there...

No argument here! I mentioned it because I have seen very few Gibson
Tal Farlow in natural.

Rare but not as rare as an original 1960s TF in Natural finish. At
least one of the original 215 was a blonde but that may be the only
one.

I prefer the light sunburst Viceroy Brown finish on this model as I
think it fits better with the Nickel plate whereas a natural finish
really looks best with gold plating (until it wears off!)

Perhaps he is optimistic that with the new year, prospective buyers
are still tipsy and will make a foolish purchase.
