Tom

it sounds good.

I wonder if you could summarize what you are aiming for in each of your
models. I know there are lots of threads on this NG aobut what this or that
guitar sounds like, or is supposed to sound like, and you've ocasionally
hinted you try to reproduce certain models/eras (I assume variations on the
Gibson laminates).

Paul,
I'm not aiming for a specific sound for each model necessarily. I have
different body sizes (15,16,17,and 18 inch) so the player can choose
what is most comfortable for him or her. Depending on the desires of
the customer, we can focus more on the acoustic or electric response
of the guitar to suit specific requirements.

Basically, my intent is to take the best from the classic Kalamazoo
Gibsons and build on that. I, personally, like some acoustic life to a
laminated archtop (which translates to a more lightly constructed
instrument) like the old Gibsons...

You're like the grand wine-taster of archtops! Swish it around a bit
and then spit it out :-)

That's a 15 inch guitar? Sounds a lot bigger.

How do you accomplish that?

Yeah, that's me when I'm feeling inspired to play... Thanks for the

I think the contributing factors include a relatively light body with
a mahogany neck that joins at the 14th fret like a normal archtop...I
sprinkle in a little magic too before I glue the top on :-)
