For Sale: slightly used but well cared for Voyage Air VAOM-06SN.
Well-loved and treated with respect. Mucho mojo. Case/bag included. Will
throw in pick or used end of fingernail of choice.

Price: $500 plus shipping

Can arrange for Moose or Spike or both to hand deliver but would not
recommend.

Hey Tom,
My daughter is currently in Virginia visiting our son and his family.
Think she would have any trouble carting that guitar back down here by
air? Do they allow them as carry on or would she have to check it? My
wheels are spinning.

I have carried mine on board with no problems. Fits easily in
standard overhead with the zipoff computer part removed and placed
under the seat. If she is on a commuter flight, there is no overhead
(essentially) and she'd gate check it. Don't give it up at baggage,
just walk thru security with it. It is not a heavy package with the
guitar inside.

Thanks for that, Hans.
I guess I need to talk to Tom about this though:
"The label on my Voyage Air says
"VAOM-06SN". Moose and Spike think it's a misprint and should be SM
for
Spike/Moose style. I PAID $500 FOR THE OM." hmmm.

Well, I agree completely with Hans; this item is very plane travel friendly.
Most people might mistake it for a carry-on type bag or business case.
Don't be confused by the thoughts of Moose and Spike. They are somewhat
delusional or hallucinatory at times.

BTW, I am in Texas, Wichita Falls to be exact but get to Dallas/Fort Worth a
lot. I can even get to Oklahoma City in a pinch.

The "SN" actually stands for "Satin-Natural" which doesn't make much
sense since the guitars are all hi-gloss... but it does make sense if
you know that originally the 06 line was going to be satin but we
changed our minds after the bodies were assembled and the labels never
got changed.

Why did you change to hi-gloss?

WOW!! Does this make mine a rare mislabeled Voyage Air that is much
more valuable? Like a misstamped coin or oddly printed coin? Maybe I
should raise the price...

To all interested parties: I will be spending the next few days in
California at a wedding of a friend so I may or may not have access to
internet groups. If not, then I'll be back Monday night or Tuesday.
BTW, Larry, not only does the top fly but the whole guitar and case
flies.

Personally, I liked the satin finish but every time we think about a
satin finish the big dealers want it to sell for 10% less than a high-
gloss... the cost in China is negligible so we stick with the shiny...
business 101??? I think I might have one of the prototypes with satin
finish somewhere...

If it had satin finish you might have something... only 2 were ever
made...Better off buying one of the Limited Edition Belair electrics,
only 250 of those will ever be made...

Larry,

From traveling a fair bit with them:

Guitar and case are a phenomenal design and travel great in overhead
stowbins on all full sized passenger jets.

However, RBJ's (Regional Business Jets) such as Embraer etc.... and most
commuters... In a significant number of tries to coax them in, they barely
but surely won't fit in the overheads, even with the laptop compartment
removed. Nor under the smaller seats, very comfortably.

Best experience with those situations, is ask carry aboard and ask for a
closet opportunity, move to the last choice gate check... but don't wait too
late in the boarding to determing this. (lest you risk the guitar missing
the flight)
