Has anyone played one before? Any opinions?

I saw some at a local dealer. They seemed pretty decent for the $. I
haven't done any research on them, though.

They have a website at <http://www.waldenguitars.com/>
They're made in China, and were recently introduced to
the USA. Prior to that, they were distributed mostly in
Europe. They had two favorable reviews at Harmony Central,
but I take these with a grain of salt.
I've never played or even seen one, but as with any guitar,
if it grabs you, get it. The price is certainly right for
a dreadnought with a solid spruce top.

P.S. By all means, let us (RMMGA) know if you buy it and
what you like/dislike about it.
I've played one or two before. I thought they were OK, but in that price
range I think I like the Cort guitars better. It was mostly a setup issue,
though, I think. I can't remember what particular model of the Walden that I
played.

For $399 with a case, shipping, humidifer, and strings it was a great
deal. I will post a report when I get it. The owner there
(www.southwestguiatr.com) is a real nice guy. I had purcahsed a hign
end classical from him last year.
I can't wait...
