I play a steel 6-string flamenco style: fingerpicking with my
nails in the usual way, and strumming with the backs of my thumb
and fingernails, and sometimes with the fronts (thumb down,
finger up) for more deliberate strums.
I admire the hell out of good cross-pickers/flat-pickers, but
just don't have the knack.
I like pretty much all kinds of music.
This is where I learned about your group, a little indirectly:

Watch for The Gatherings. They're the regional meetings of RMMGAers,

So, Wichita Lineman in Flamenco - that would be interesting to hear.

Hey! That's really good news. I certainly will.
I recall a festival I attended some years ago.
I found myself with a group of friends, sitting on brown grass,
smoking green grass, and listening to blue grass.
I love hearing players that are better than I am. I get to enjoy
the excellent music and learn something at the same time.
> So, Wichita Lineman in Flamenco - that would be interesting to hear.
I do it for the dancing chicks with the castanets :-))
Ideally, you wouldn't be able to tell, with your ears, that I
wasn't fingerpicking part of the time and playing with a flatpick
the rest of the time.
You might wonder how I ditched the pick and retrieved it so
quickly and often :-)

Hey, levi.
I am moved by the warm welcome, guys. The next time I'm at the

I've seen a hint of it. Larry said there are people here
who don't think Bob Dylan can sing and stole most of his
tunes.
Where's my shotgun?
:-)
Of course he can't sing for s__t. He doesn't have to. He has
Heart. And he's certainly better at it since he took lessons from
that pop singer. Around the time he did "Lay Lady Lay". What
was the name of that album?
And he didn't really steal the tunes. Many of them just
have timeless themes. All poets tap that source. They
have to. Or they wouldn't be poets.

My pa-in-law is 83. He often speaks of impending maturity.
More often known as silly old fart.

thought Larry was good company.
John
I'll let you be in my dream, if I can be in yours....

There are certainly a lot of colorful characters here!
Sidney
As the young folks in school used to say, "True, dat!"
I'm just waiting to see how things unfold, which direction the winds
will blow, and what shape reality will take for itself today....

I tried Eucerin John for a while. Just doesn't have that cache'
LJ
Hey, John...if you want to see one cool m-effing guitar, come meet me
at Mike Lull's shop in Bellevue on Wednesday morning...
Just fine!! I've found our new friend to be really something. I've
seen some of the things he's posted in several other groups... As the
esteemed Charles Park would say, there's a wingnut on the loose.....
Things really are good, Tom. Call off Spike and Moose... My donation
to The Fund is in the mail!

Or pretty far gone, anyway. Probably the castanets got to him.
I'm there dewd! What time? Are you having Mike set up the Kraut guitar
you spoke of in the Pierre thread of Jenn's?

Highlander IP-1 installation.
We'll talk....
That's "diminutive", if you don't mind. Whereabouts are you, Chris?

Besides pointing out the obvious fact that we are just having fun,
you pompous jerk, "place" has nothing to do with it, because that's
covered by "time". And you left out "how". It's _how_ the chord
is played that is as important as the timing. And it also better
be the _right_ chord.
Like _duh_.
