i am testing an api in postman that works fine. i am exporting it using the functionality in postman. the export language is curl. i am pasting it in the bubble api connector but it does not work. is there a process to easily transfer apis from postman to bubble?

how to download file from postman

Download Zip https://t.co/cXO0ho46Aq

Yes, the signature comes from postman. i try it in another tool and it works. but if i try it in bubble it does not work. below you can see the raw text, the api connector and the other tool so you can compare. i literealy copy and paste the same. i do not know what else to change to make it work!

The problem is not the authorization key since i copy it directly from postman and it works in req bin. For some reason the exact same code does not work in bubble.

I have figured out already how to generate the authorization key but i first need to make the call work

Hi Jaime i am struggling with the exact same issue on Bubble, the call in postman works and gives me a working signature that doesnt work on Bubble. I am copying the exact same body on postman and on Bubble.

If you want to use postman to get tokens for testing, you can temporarily turn on the password grant to exchange an email/password directly for tokens. Make sure you turn this off when you are done testing.

Postman lets you write scripts that run before/after you receive a response from the server. You can do practically anything in these scripts. The pre-request and test scripts run inside a sandbox and Postman enable the Postman object to interact with the main Postman context.

This opens up a number of new possibilities. One of them is extracting values from the response and saving it inside an environment or a global variable. Environment and global variables let you keep track of everything that affects the APIs state. Some examples of common variables you would use with an API are session tokens and user IDs.

This works, but is a lot of work if you have more than a few variables. Test scripts dramatically simplify this flow. All you have to do is call postman.setEnvironmentVariable(key, value) or postman.setGlobalVariable(key, value) to set a variable with values you have extracted from the response. You can even add something dynamically generated through Javascript.

Hi Orubel,

HOw to get Global variable from CSV and use in Json(TestEditor) using collection runner. Need help

My expected result is in CSV and I want to match with Actual result(variable of response body)

Thanks

Is it possible to access a session cookie from the response in a collection runner? Login in and firing the request manually works fine. But running several requests in a collection will not recognize the returned session cookie.

Is it possible to use the environment variable as the resource id in the URL itself? For example, is it possible to use the id (say uid=1234) of the resource that was created and returned from one request, and use it in the next request url, like this : localhost/api/v1/users/ (uid=1234)?

I have an API URL which has the id which is dynamically obtained from the previous API URL executed and pass that response/result id to other API dynamically. So how could I achieve this by adding extracting the id from one API and pass the same as URL for another API

I want to get more than one data from response (no.1) in postman response body and use them to compare with data in another response (no.2). Is it possible to save them somewhere and compare them in second response.

Hello,

I am trying to extract a column values from excel to an array in postman.

But I am unable to find the length of the column.

Is there a way I can do this without using Iteration?

Thank you,

I am facing a strange issue with postman chaining of requests I will explain my scenario below

1. I am chaining POST and PUT request in a folder

2. The response coming from POST request has a field which I am storing in environment variable and passing it as input parameter to 2nd PUT Request

3. While running this folder (POST+PUT) through runner I am passing test data to 2nd request through a csv file where as for the first request we have hard coded request body.

Issue:

Getting incorrect response i.e., response populated for the 2nd request is same as response of 1st request.

Steps tried to resolve:

1. Verified the request body of 2nd Request- it is going correctly and my test data is getting picked from csv file

2. Checked and unchecked the cookies option in runner

3. Used Set Next request line in tests tab

4. Manually tested the scenario without using chaining and csv files and it is working fine

I'm trying to initiate inbound message from postman on behalf open message to Genesys cloud Agent by using API POST /api/v2/conversations/messages/inbound/open , but I'm getting 202 status. I need to get an incoming interaction at Genesys agent side. I have created Open Messaging Integration check below image.

Shivani_m yes, the outbound webhook notification can help you here too. As Genesys is going to outbound a receipt to your webhook, for your inbound open message you POST in postman. In that receipt is going to contain a status and reasons field that may have a failure, telling you why it failed. If it does that should help you figure out what to change.

If it does not have a failure status, then it's going to contain an id that you can use and call get-api-v2-conversations-messages--messageId--details using that messageId, and that will give you the conversation that the message is on, and allow you to see what happened to it on the Genesys Cloud Conversation side.

Hi Greg_Boston , Now I'm able to receive interactions to genesys cloud by Postman. Now I want to check whether receiver, receiving messages/events or not from genesys for that I need to configure outbound webhook URL. Can you suggest which service can use for that. I don't have access to ngrok.

Thanks in advance.

Shivani_m glad you got it working. The outbound webhook URL is really your decision and responsibility. You would likely want to take into account your specific use case, and many other factors when deciding how to architect the service you would use to receive those messages from Genesys Cloud. There are many companies that can help you with public hosted webhook services. Or you could of course build your own service using AWS or other cloud computing services. The possibilities are really almost endless. If you need help developing a solution in that area, you might want to reach out to Genesys Professional Services for some options Professional Services Contact Center Services Genesys
