I too have been impressed with the 25th Anniversary guitars particularly
a 710B that I played at Georges Music in Jacksonville Beach. Not a store
to be noted for it's bargains but I could not believe that a Brazilian
dreadnaught could be had for $1995 plus tax. Unbelievable and a stunning
instrument to look at and play. Wish I had the dough!

Well,

I got my 25Ann 514CEAB just last week .

I must say the guitar looked good but sounded better than my 814CE.

In fact when I tried the 25 Ann 514CEAb model and compared it to the other existing
514Ce model( total of 4 pieces). The 514CEAB anniversary model sounded the best.

I was told by the rep. that the limited or Anniversay models will always sound and
look better than their existinmg models.

Well you decide.

I tried several of the 25th Anniversaries ... by far, my favorite is the
714-BCE that I brought home (after comparing it to the 710-B, 810-B, and
814-BCE). Although I originally didn't like the idea of the giant hole on
the side for the blender, it's turned into one of my favorite guitars (and
I do like playing with the controls when I'm plugged in).

I just bought the 810bce. I was hesitant about the electronics also
but the guitar was about the sweetest sounding thing I've played since
my 69 Martin D35S Brazilian. Also tried the 710b but it didn't sound as
mellow as the 810. I'm pretty happy with it -- actually ecstatic. The
Brazilian rosewood does make a difference. I also like the Elixir
strings (so far).
