Luthier: Tom Mates?

Ralph McTell is now playing a stunning instrument made by one Tom
Mates... anyone got any info on this gentleman? The peghead inlay on
this guitar is absolutely wonderful.

Dunno, but I've seen Tom Mates guitars in Andy's in Denmark Street - they
might know something about him.
