The hat's a wreck - cost me �5 in a garden centre in Brittany - blew
off my head at a wedding earlier in the summer and the peak is torn to
shreds - now I have to go all the way back to France to get another
cheap hat - bummer..:-)
There will be soundfiles going up soon from the Buxton meeting - I'll
post the links when they're up. Some of the playing is very hot.
Mine, of course, is just me being my sloppy self...

Yup, I spent the weekend at Fi's - she's in good shape. Kept telling
me to shut up because she wanted to watch something on the telly. This
is Fi-speak for "Shut up, I want to talk at you for five minutes and I
really don't care what's on the telly."
We seem to get on well - I think she likes having an irascible old
bastard around the house for a couple of days (any longer than that
and I'd prolly wake up in a pool of blood - or not...)
The Venue is the Eagle pub on the Market Square. I'll dig up the URL
for someone's pictures (I think No66by posted up about 70 shots
somewhere). Couple of nice ones of the town centre and a very odd
picture which looks as though someone has set up a drum kit in the
front window of the chippy across the road and then taken a picture of
the pub through the kit - you'll have to see it. Most of the pictures
though are of people I met very briefly so I can't name them.

It's weird - I'm sure the original was played on a Les Paul but the
guy playing gets the same tone from a Strat - full treble, I guess.

We have seen electrics at Hargate before - John Etheridge did a talk
on heow he ended up with his this year, and supported Gillie Nicholls
playing one - but he was very discreet with it..:-)
I took the S'notacaster with me when it was new, but Nigel Tucker's
son absconded with it for the weekend so no-one else saw it.
