To ease the economic burden for those struggling with lost wages due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) was authorized to expend funds from the Disaster Relief Fund for lost wage payments as a result of COVID-19. The Lost Wages Assistance program (LWA) provided a supplement of $300 per week to claimants who:

The Way2Go debit card will be issued by mail after the first payment on your claim is made via debit card. If you have previously been issued a debit card, it is valid for three years from the initial issue date. Your previous card will receive any payments on your current claim. A. A debit card takes up to 14 business days to be received from the vendor. Debit cards are issued the day after an initial claim for benefits with no eligibility issues on file. For initial claims with eligibility issues, a debit card is issued once all eligibility issues have been allowed. If you have received a debit card for unemployment in the past and no longer have access to that card, your card has been lost, or an expired card you will need to request a replacement card by calling 1-855-709-1077. Q: When do I receive a UC debit card?A. You receive a UC debit card (if financially eligible) at the start of a new UC claim. If your UC debit card is lost or compromised, you may request a new one from US Bank at 866-567-850 or online at www.usbankreliacard.com. Reopening your claim or starting a UC claim does not trigger a new mailing for these items. If you are financially ineligible, you will not receive a debit card.

A loss of decals renewed by mail is replaceable at no charge at the Permit Counter if reported within 21 calendar days of the purchase date, is accompanied by a completed USPS Receipt of Claim record and is the first in the current renewal period for the address/account. USPS Claims may be submitted online at -mail.htm. Thereafter, lost or stolen Guest Annual Permits may be replaced for fee and up to a maximum of 3 replacement permits each year.

Lost or stolen Commercial Permits renewed by mail is replaceable at no charge at the Permit Counter if reported within 21 calendar days of the purchase date, is accompanied by a completed USPS Receipt of Claim printout and is the first request in the current renewal period for the address/account. USPS Claims must be submitted online at -mail.htm. Thereafter, lost or stolen permits will be replaced at the full price. This includes permits lost by mail. Vehicles displaying a reported lost or stolen permit are subject to citation and impound at the owner's expense.


a. An employee may file a claim for wages against an employer under this section or any of the other State wage and hours laws for wages owed related to work performed, including but not limited to wages owed related to unpaid minimum wages, unpaid overtime compensation, wages lost because of unlawful discharge or other discriminatory acts taken in retaliation against the employee, up to six years prior to the date the claim for wages is filed.


Once the stop-work order becomes final, any employee affected by a stop-work order issued pursuant to this section shall be entitled to pay from the employer for the first ten days of work lost because of the stop-work. Upon request of any employee not paid wages, the commissioner can take assignment of the claim and bring any legal action necessary to collect all that is due.
