Thank you for this reply. As i am typing this response, I was trying out your response and while doing that I realized that my cameras are now working on cellular network. I will have to wait until I run into problems again before I can test out the link to see.

The funny thing is just yesterday, i could never access the cameras from a cellular network. Today, i did absolutely nothing and suddenly it works like a charm. No idea what went wrong. Will update when I run into this issue again.

On my iPhone 11 Max Pro, I am having trouble establishing SFTP connections with the Koder app, the Files app, and the Readdle Documents app to connect to my 2021 Macbook Pro 13". The problem is that I can only connect via WiFi, not cellular internet. I receive an error message when attempting to connect with cellular data. WiFi allows for an instant connection, especially when on my own network.

It's not just cellular internet on the iPhone, it would also be with any other Wi-Fi connection you connect to. Your real issue/situation is that you cannot connected to the SFTP share when you are not connected to the same local network as the MacBook.

I bought a NordVPN Service and it allows for SFTP to be created through the encrypted MeshNet network. The MeshNet provides an IP address that Koder can connect to over a cellular network. So I Set up an SFTP connection with the MeshNet IP address and now I can connect through a cellular data connection to my Macbook over SFTP. NordVPN also provides direct and unlimited file transfers, regardless of size, through a direct MeshNet connection on the mobile and desktop NordVPN apps.

Google Fi Wireless provides fast, reliable nationwide 4G LTE and 5G coverage through the T-Mobile network. Google Fi Wireless is not subject to data traffic deprioritization, which means you won't experience slowed data speeds during times of high network usage. Additionally Google Fi Wireless users have access to multiple carrier networks to stay connected as they travel domestically and around the world.

Pixel users running Android 12 and above can get access to the W+ network when available if they have the Fi VPN enabled. The W+ network uses select secure, high-quality Wi-Fi networks to improve your mobile data connection in highly congested areas, like certain airports, malls and stadiums.

The Google Fi Wireless network also extends to 200+ countries and territories. On the Flexible and Unlimited Plus plans, you're automatically covered with data abroad at no extra charge and no advanced setup required. Phones sold on fi.google.com are able to get coverage from multiple carriers internationally. Additionally, for supported Pixel and Samsung phones, 5G coverage is available in select countries and territories.

On Fi, you'll get built-in privacy for your online activity. All phones on Fi get access to a VPN for a private online connection. When enabled, it encrypts your online activity when you use cellular data and Wi-Fi.

When connected, you'll see "W+" in your network settings and top of your screen.

On all phones on Fi, you get access to a VPN for an encrypted and private connection when you use cellular data and Wi-Fi. It provides data protection by shielding you against hackers on unsecure networks (like public Wi-Fi), and prevents websites from using your IP address to track your location.

Most apps will connect through the VPN, but some apps may bypass the VPN in order to work as intended (for example, so your smart home devices can work). You can manage this setting in the Fi app. Note that apps critical to Fi services will always connect outside the VPN. VPNs use mobile data for encryption and network optimizations.

For all phones, if Wi-Fi and cellular networks are available, Fi will route your call over whichever one gives you the best experience. For more information on Wi-Fi calling, please visit our Help Center.

In the United States, the major iPhone providers are AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint. There are also other smaller providers, such as Virgin Mobile. All these companies offer high-speed Long Term Evolution (LTE) cellular networks (these are also referred to as true 4G networks) along with the slower 4G and 3G networks. In other locations, the names and speeds of the networks available might be different.

To disable the high-speed network, tap Off; to use it for both voice and data, tap Voice & Data; or to use it only for data, tap Data Only. (When you enable the high-speed network for voice, the quality of the sound of your calls might be better.)

You can quickly turn cellular data on or off from the Control Center. For example, if you want to stop using cellular data (perhaps you are reaching the cap of your cellular data plan), you can open the Control Center and tap the Cellular Data icon to disable cellular data use. Tap the icon again to enable it. (When the icon is green, cellular data is enabled.)

Set the Wi-Fi Assist switch to on (green) if you want your iPhone to automatically switch to its cellular connection when the Wi-Fi connection is weak. If you have a limited cellular data plan, you might want to set this switch to off (white) to minimize cellular data use. If you have an unlimited plan, you should leave this on.

If you tap System Services, you see the data usage for core system functions, such as Time & Location, Messaging Services, and Siri. This can be useful information to see how much data these services use, especially when you are in a roaming situation. You can limit the data use by some of these services by not accessing the related function; for example, you can turn off Siri to prevent it from using cellular data.

If you're looking at your cellular data usage in the Settings app on your iPhone, you might notice data usage statistics from a "Current Period." But what exactly is the current period, and when did it start? Here's how to find out.

Below a bank of options near the top of the "Cellular" settings page, you'll see a section titled "Cellular Data." At the top of that, you'll see "Current Period" with a cumulative data count beside it. This is how much cellular data you've used in total during the current period.

Several users report that they encounter the following error: Could Not Activate Cellular Data Network: You Are Not Subscribed to a Cellular Data Service. Follow the tips below to fix cellular data issues on your iPhone. After performing each step, please test to see if the problem is fixed.

Going back to Settings > Cellular, Find the section Cellular Data and toggle on all the apps you want to use when connected to cellular data. If an app is not toggled on, then you are not able to access it when connected to cellular data (works with WiFi only)

Once you set all your app preferences for cell data, restart your phone and try connecting to cellular data again. If WiFi is available, go to Settings > WiFi and toggle it off. Now, try connecting again to cellular data.

I used it last night at my house on my wifi network and it worked fine. I just tried it right now over mobile data on the T-Mobile network and it is not working. When I try to sign in, I get the message "sign in failed. Please check your internet connection". Obviously my internet is working just fine....

Im on t-mobile. i am from chicagoland area. I have an iphone 7 plus. I have version 12.1.76106 CL of the IOS App for Teamviewer. I am on IOS version 10.2.1. I am using LTE wireless data (this seems to be important) My hotspot is not on.

I am in Chicago. Teamviewer is not working on T Mobil network. I spoke with T Mobil and they said it should work over thier network. They instructed me to ask the app developer if they are restricting cellular data and making the app only work over WiFi?

A mobile device making a data connection must be configured with an APN to present to the carrier. The carrier will then examine this identifier to determine what type of network connection should be created, for example: which IP addresses should be assigned to the wireless device, which security methods should be used, and how, or if, it should be connected to some private customer network.[3]

More specifically, the APN identifies the packet data network (PDN) that a mobile data user wants to communicate with. In addition to identifying a PDN, an APN may also be used to define the type of service, (e.g. connection to Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) server, Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS)) that is provided by the PDN. APN is used in 3GPP data access networks, e.g. General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), evolved packet core (EPC).

#2 worked!! A few days ago I switched plans within the same carrier and ever since then my phone has not been able to use data at all, only wifi. You HAVE to restart your phone for it to work though. I reset the network settings and my phone looked like it reset itself but it only worked after I powered off/on my phone myself.
