You can buy a tab son book direct from Dougie:
Dougie MacLean - Songs for Guitarists with tablature sheet music
All songs from Dougie MacLean - Songs 2 including piano arrangement, and
also, in response to overwhelming demand, guitar tablature....SONGS
INCLUDED..She Will Find Me, Feel So Near, Holding Back, Buffalo Jump,
Deepest Part of Me, Big River, Marching Mystery, Distant Son, Broken Wings,
Scythe Song.
He also has a CD-Rom with video tuition for a number of songs including
Caledonia.
There are two other songbooks, but without tablature and some dodgy chords
based on standard tuning instead of the tuning the Dougie plays each song
in.
I have the CD-Rom and can recommend it.
Cheers,
Mike

I have that CD ROM also - it's very well done and an excellent
learning tool. But, although he's and excellent musician and
performer, I don't want to play that kind of stuff. given to me as a
gift by a close friend - who didn't have a real grasp of the music I
play, so I can't really get rid of it for now. But recommended
strongly by me anyway -zeke
Nice folks there. They don't post tab anywhere where you can just
go and download it, but they have a lot of tab and chord charts
available that they will email on request. And if they don't
have it, they will sometimes create it in response to a request.
Nice folks! Unfortunately they use Microsoft Office formats
(e.g., Excel files) so those of us without MS software end up
a bit handicapped....
Peace,
Tom

Aargh. Anyone have the Tabs in another format? Steve sent me one and
I can't read it - darn my stupidity on the computer! This happened
even though you told me it would, Tom! I would like to learn these
tunes for a fundraiser in May. I did order the book with Tab, and I
figured out a few songs in standard, and "Ready for the Storm" in open
Cm, (the Olson loves low C - I am supposed to be doing research for
grad school but I can't put the guitar down!) though I don't think
that it is the right tuning. I would love to know the tunings for:
Ready for the Storm
Broken Wings
Holding Back
Mary Queen of Scots
Turning Away
Stepping Stones
War
Another Story
Also - Tom - I read in the archives that you were, back then, working
on Brooks Williams' version of Dougie's "She Loves Me" (it's
gorgeous!) - or was it Dougie's version? I have Brooks's version -I
have never heard Dougie's and I am curious to know if it is a
different tuning.
Anyway, I would appreciate any help!
Best wishes,
Donna
