A WEIRD, RARE Bullhorn/electric Megaphone connected to a mic stand Dilemma!

Anyone out there ever seen a live band where a member will sing
through a bullhorn into a mic?

THAT's not the weird part, BTW..

*I'm* trying to do the same thing, except my hands are busy playing
guitar and I can't hold the megaphone.
Ideally, I want to have the bullhorn "mounted" on another mic stand
that I can place between the mic and myself. I'll sing through the
bullhorn which is on its own stand, and the speaker of the bullhorn
faces right into the vocal mic.

I've purchased a bullhorn which, not surprising, doesn't have a female
end in the handle to screw into a straight mic stand (hee-hee!). The
bullhorn itself has *some heft* to it, and the handle that you'd
normally grab onto is on an angle and is pretty thick.

I've been looking a some drum set clamps (multi?) to hold onto the
bullhorn's handle and then, I guess (believe me, I'm making this up as
I go!), clamp onto the straight mic stand, but I prefer something that
can screw right onto the stand and then clamp onto the bullhorn.

Any physics geniuses out there who might have suggestions or want to
brainstorm something? And, Yes, I'D *LIKE TO USE AS LITTLE (as in,
NO!) DUCT TAPE AND GLUE GUNS IF POSSIBLE, HA HA!

Thanks for any suggestions/help!

You are in luck!
In physics I am AWL THAT MATTERS!!!!

One way is to go to Radio Shaft or other audio store and get a mic
mount for a desktop. This is a flanged thing you can screw on to the
bull horn with a male mic thread. But of course that is the problem
because you need a female-female mic thread adapter to make it work
because both the flange and the mic stand are male parts. Mic thread
adapters aren't easy to find!

Simplest way is to find a mic stand with a Euro thread on the top.
This looks like a standard mic stand but instead of the fine-threaded
half inch or so stalk, it has this bolt sticking out of the top.
Usually these stands come with a thread-on adapter to convert the bolt
to the larger standard mic thread. Sam Ash Cheapo mic stands are like
this. The cool thing is that you can then drill and tap the bull horn
handle to fit the bolt! I think the thread is metric but one of the
American standard threads will fit it. I mounted some mics this way
with ordinary bolts.

And lastly I'll tell you what I did. My problem was similar. I had
this Theremin I wanted to mount on a mic stand. Here I also wanted a
tilting option. So in my junk box I found the part of a mic boom that
holds the boom. It's sort of a tilter that fits on a mic stand with a
square tube on top that the boom part slides in. I just drilled a
couple of holes in the square tube and screwed it to the bottom of the
Theremin. Works like a CHAMP!

Good luck!
