Is any familiar with this maker? We are pleased with the instrument but I
would like to know more about the person who made the instrument.

From the responses it is clear to me that Mr. Masters is a very good
instrument maker. I appreciate your information. One of the folks pointed me
towards a "board" that John Masters is a frequenter of.
The instrument we have is labeled as being built in1996, we have had it
about 2 years. It seems to be a fine instrument. It is still continuing to
build/develop its voice and tone.
