Hi,
I am looking to form a string trio or quartet in the
Seattle/Puget Sound area. I currently play the viola, but have played
the violin for 14 years, now. I had learned to play starting in grade
school and, after high school, continued to educate myself in theory
and playing by ear.
In particular, I am looking for cellist, violinist, and another
viola. I would like to just get together and practise at this point
and share ideas and techniques. Performance may be a future option
and certainly something to look forward to if we are all comfortable
with each other. Composition would also be a joint effort that I
would like to explore.
I am not looking for: prima donnas, egotists, group control
freaks. Please check your ego and attitude at the door. This would,
however, be a forum for constructive criticism, both dishing it out
and taking it back.
While I live in an apartment complex, I have pretty cool
neighbors and a living room that is nearly empty, so practise space
should not be a problem.
I look forward to any and all interested responses.

Wow, all that AND you want them to be a violinist? Not sure if that
can be done <g>.

Can't help - too far away. But a _violist_ looking for other players
must be close to unique ... it's usually the violinist(s) and the
cellist looking for a viola! Hope you get what you want.
