I recently got the Joshua Bell/Edgar Meyer CD, "Short Trip Home". I've never
played much fiddle music (although I do a pretty mean "Ashokan Farewell"), but
there are a few pieces on this album I'd like to play. Any idea where I could
find the music? BTW, my search on Shar's site didn't bring up anything.
Thanks.

Edgar Meyer is certainly a prolific writer. I have not as yet found the
music for Shart Trip Home, but we (SHAR) do carry a String Orchestra Set by
him (see below). I also have been listening to Uncommon Ritual with Meyer,
Bela Fleck (Banjo), Mike Marshall (Mando - violin). This music is not as
approachable for me - but complex and quite interesting. I would compare it
to modern classical as readily as fiddling music. If you find the music,
will you let me know

Thanks

I have been looking for some different arrangements of Ashoken Farewell. Just
wondering, where did you get your sheet music for that?

I got mine from Shar (sharmusic.com), published by Mel Bay.
