Trying to settle something with a friend. Is it possible to slur
something when playing pizzicato (specificically on a violin), and if
so, how is it done? If someone knows, I would appreciate it if they
culd e-mail me, as I don't check this group very often, but if you
just want to post it, that's fine too.

Thank you,
The Dan

Yes, by "hammering on" as used by guitarists (though less effective on
the fiddle). i.e. pluck a note stopped with say the first finger then
immediately hammer down the second finger. Two notes for one pluck.

A good example would be say an arpeggio over two or more strings that is pizzicatto. Otherwize there really is no difference between a slurred and unslurred note! The same goes for a quarter not pizz and a hlf note pizz in the same measure, they sound the same!
