A message from Tien in December said she had died. The very next day
someone named "Elle Mathews" started posting here and elsewhere, with
identical writing style (including the vitriole against those who disagreed
with her). Several people here have asked for some kind of proof that Connie
is indeed dead, but that has not happened. Look back for TD's post, and
look at the history for the keywords Elle Mathews.

What a maroon.
Marhsa
LOL. Mizz Marsha: I assume you mean "moron" (i.e., an idiot) not a
person who is marooned (see below). If you're going to insult
someone, I suggest you at least spell it right. ROFLMAO
Main Entry: maroon
Function: transitive verb
1 : to put ashore on a desolate island or coast and leave to one's
fate
2 : to place or leave in isolation or without hope of ready escape
It's a sad commentary on fading of Looney Tunes from the fabric of our
society. The full quote is, "What a maroon. What an im-BE-cile." (note the
improper stress).

Maybe a collection could be gotten up to put the poor thing to sleep.

Marsha, that whistling sound you heard was the sound of wit going right over
Mr. McNally (or whoever he/she/it is)

Marsha, that whistling sound you heard was the sound of wit passing right over
the head of Mr. McNally (or whoever he/she/it is).
In addition to the looney toons reference, check out the deliberate misspelling
of Marsha's sig.
She was referring to the incorrect spelling of "trole," which is correctly
spelled "troll."

But don't be so hard on Conie, er, I mean Eell, er I mean R.Mac,
after all not every Baby Boomer spent their childhood in front of the
TV like I did. I thought it was a Curly (of 3 Stooges)
quote but Cathy set me straight on that. I remember the Im-BE-cile
part now.

Unfortunately, no.
As long as an individual desires to upset our forum, by pretending to be
another, we cannot pretend to ignore her.

Do tell, Beach Runner, what evidence do you have of "real musician," or
anything to contribute?

People were on her case because she'd post something, asking for an opinion,
then get very rude if someone posted an opinion that did not agree with
hers. And, she not only did it here, but at each and every violin group she
participated in on the Internet. And she's still doing it, under a couple of
different names.
I'm not debating the fact that she or her various personalities have/had a
lot of knowledge that was beneficial to the group. She certainly did, but
did not know how to use it constructively..

It is not the "what" we do that is so important, rather the "how" we do it! :)

For the record, Bob McNally is the guy who designed the origninal backpacker
guitar. Maybe the name stuck in her subconcious.

I really don't think so. I think it's all a game. I think she thrills to
the possibility that you think there is something wrong with her.
Remember what Lincoln said?
"You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people
all of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time."
I think she has (*had?*) the arrogance to think that she is smarter than
"the collective." *No one* is that smart. Connie tried to scam the world.
Had she waited for a year or two, she might have gotten away with it. If
it was "she" against "x", she might have gotten away with it.
But when numerous people who run servers all across the globe compare
notes, no one is going to get away with much for long.
Remember that cartoon -- "The thing about the internet is no one knows
you're a dog?" It was funny, but so innocent and simplistic. The truth
is, on the internet, anyone who really wants to find out can know
everything there is to know about you. Everything you've ever put to
paper, that is.
I swore I would never get involved in this, but... It seems like
Connie/Susan/Elle/Robert/ramalamatootoot/whatever has managed to suck
more than a couple of good folks into the the most recent maelstrom;
so I thought I'd add that Robert McNally's last post at Maestronet
(which nobody seemed to want to reply to) has mysteriously morphed
into one by a poster going by "Nannerl" with this profile:
