Why did you play the bass?

Every time a new harmony arrived, you would pluck a note. Not the root,
some other note. Then you would quickly try a few others, eventually
finding a root. Then the harmony would change. You would pluck some
random not. Not the root. Then you would quickly pluck a few more notes.
You did this through the ENTIRE FUCKING SONG.

Seriously, why did you even play the fucking thing? Do you know how many
other musicians were watching you in horror? How many other bass players
would have been glad to play? Did it make you feel important? You made a
total ass of yourself.
