What do you think of the ZON Sonus?

Has anyone tried the Zon Sonus or Sonus Special bass? What are your
"reviews" of them? I've never seen one in a store around my area so
I've never been able to play one. Thanks.

Jason,

I wish I could give you my opinion, but Zon "the company" didn't
let me try any of the Zon basses at the NAMM show?!?!? I even
went back to the booth when they were not busy, and I couldn't get
them to let me plug in the bass :( After trying the Zon booth 4+
times I went to the Modulus booth. I had a great experience -
they asked me if I wanted to plug in the bass!!

I've met Joe Zon a couple of times and I think he's a nice guy and
a pretty good business man (person), but I think he should clean
house in his sales department.

Anywhoo check out what I'm going to do now... I bought a Fernandes
Jazz Bass for $299, and I'm replacing the stock neck with a Moses
neck. After the labor and the cost of the new tunning pegs it's
going to be about $710 bucks!! Thats half the cost of any Zon or
Modulus.
