Hats off to Dave Caldwell of Omagh N. Ireland for a 3 rd place at Dublin open
judged by Tommy Anderson Of Barrie Ontario playing all Gibson set with Caldwell
reeds.
1st was P/M Ritchie Parks FMM
2nd was Peter Waulk (?) FMM
3 rd was Dave Caldwell.
Dave christened his new Best Tone tm drone reeds at this competition. His first
usage was at Traverse City seminar concert in March with Clark Abercrombie (all
Gibson).... Greg Abbott (all Gibson).... Dave Caldwell (all Gibson) ...Bob
Worrall (all Naill) ... Steve Macneill ( 1930 Lauries with Naill chanter)
Also a hearty congratulations to Windsor police of Ontario grade 2 for winning
Ontario champions supreme in grade 2 ...5 sets of Gibson drones in the band and
the Gibson band chanters
