Acoustic guitarist Rob Eberhard Young has re-released his debut recording
Consistent Variation. The original, cassette only version of Consistent
Variation caught the attention of Windham Hill founder and New Age
Godfather, Will Ackerman, who subsequently signed Rob to his new label,
Imaginary Road and produced Rob's second album, Sticks & Stones, in March of
'97, for which he is best known. Sticks & Stones marked the first time
Ackerman had chosen to produce a new guitarist since he first produced the
late, great composer/guitarist Michael Hedges in 1980. Sticks & Stones
reached the top 25 on Billboard's New Age charts and featured guest
performances by Hedges, Michael Manring, and Ackerman himself.

Due to an overwhelming number of requests, Rob decided to re-release
Consistent Variation on CD for the first time since it officially became out
of print in 1995. Although the reissue features all new cover art and subtle
mastering improvements, the original mixes are completely untouched and
presented in their original form.

"Rob sent me Consistent Variation and I was just blown away. It had been
years-literally fifteen years since I'd heard a voice so new, so unique, and
so powerful on the steel-string guitar." - Will Ackerman

In addition to the new release, Rob's new and incredibly comprehensive
website RobEberhardYoung.com features an extensive photo gallery, guitar and
gear info, tunings, and in-depth essays by Rob on everything from touring to
recording acoustic guitar to his personal studio to the pitfalls of
recording for corporate giants.

Young has several new recordings slated for release over the next few years,
including his "lost" 1999 album, Speak!-a full band effort produced by Kip
Winger and featuring drummer Rod Morgenstein and bassist Michael
Manring. Also, due to his increased involvement in scoring for film and
television, an album of original film-oriented music, Music for Film, is in
the works. Finally, getting back to his acoustic roots, a new collection of
solo acoustic guitar music titled, What I Believe, is in motion as well.
