These Infiniti car commercials are driving me insane. Does
anyone know the title, performer, album of that song? It's so
famous that I'm sure many people have played it. Everyone
knows the song but nobody knows anything about it.
Disturbingly, I find myself humming it during the day. Help! I
need closure... :-)

know which one of the several recordings of this they made that is used.

I think I know the comercial you are thinking of. The song is the same one
that is on the "Mighty Aphrodide" soundtrack (a recent Woody Allen film).
It is "Take Five" by the Dave Brubeck Quartet. It has to be my favorite
jazz piano number, and it has a great drum solo in it.
Glad I could help
Matt.

It's Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" from the album Time Out. A 60's jazz classic.

The first album it appeared on was "Time Out" (The Dave Brubeck Quartet)
The entire album focuses on strange time signatures. (Take Five is in 5/4, the
other clasic off the album, Blue Rondo A La Turk, is in a 9/8 2-2-2-3 signature
of all things)

I'd get the whole thing if I were you. (BTW, anybody ever heard the
Regge/ska-fied version at the end of the TLC program, "The Secret Life
of Machines"? I'd like to get my hands on that.

Or is he talking about the Infiniti commercial that features Dave
Brubeck's "Take Five"?
