He had a number of major hits in the seventies and was much loved
and respected as a serious singer back then. I haven't heard any
of his newer stuff. Some of his hits include:

Jom'eh
"tooy-e ghAb-e khees-e in panjerehA...". Lyrics by Shahyar Ghanbari,
music by MonfaredzAdeh.
Maskh (Ayneh)
"Mibinam sooratamo to Ayeneh...". Lyrics by ArdalAn sarfarAz, music
by ShamAizAdeh (one of his best), arranged by vAroojAn.
ShabAneh
"KoochehA bArikan dokoonA bastas...". Lyrics by shAmloo (?), music
by MonfaredzAdeh.
KoodakAneh
"bA inA zemestoon o saaaar mikonam...". Lyrics by Ghanbari, music
by MonfaredzAdeh.

and a number of others.

Interestingly enough, he sang James Taylor's "You've got a friend" on the
back side of the "Maskh" 45rpm record!

There is some "behind the scene" stories about him and other pop artists
in ShahyAr Ghanbari's book "The Sea In Me". Check out www.nakisa.com
for further info (note: the toomAr-like html page takes a while to load).
There's a picture of FarhAd in there too...

Cheers!

Farhad was a student in England back to early 70s and he came back to
iran in mid 70s. he was a professional singer until 1978 (before the
ANGALAB) as far as I know , he was driving a tax cab in Tehran.(if he
drives a cab at this moment, i don,t know) he became very "Marofe"
With "JOMAEH" Taraneh. After the revolution he sung the SORED
"VALA PAYAMBAR" which is great. he is in AlmAn at this moment.
If you can make him a concert, do it.
