Nothing big, but Wired, in its CD reviews, reviewed Black Light District
and the Re-Constriction comp Operation Beatbox. Coil was given a rave
review, although I don't appreciate them calling Aphex Twin a "precocious
brat." The comp review was mainly positive, as well, but they didn't use
the word "delectable."

They also reviewed King Crimson's "B'Boom", but that ain't industrial, so
I'll keep quiet.

If you're in a mood to waste money, you can listen to the CD's via their
900 number.

Two things that this brought up for me - Battery doing LL Cool J? Didn't
Battery also do Gangsta's Paradise? Geez...

and

You know, it never occurred to me until reading that review that Black
Light District was *not* the title of a Coil album. It was a
semi-pseudonym for Coil. The real title, which I had thought was merely a
subtitle, was A Thousand Points of Darkness. Stupid, huh?

Bzzzt! Try "A Thousand Lights In a Darkened Room."

I was jonesing so bad to listen to some cuts off the Operation Beatbox
compilation that i actually called up. Guess what the happened; well i
got the following message when i punched in the four-digit number to
listen to some tracks:
"We're sorry that release will not be available"
BASTARDS!! (Although this doesn't surprise me, it sure put me in a foul
mood -- i wonder if Chase knows anything about this??)

Oh well, i've vented for the day

Hmm, I was wondering what would happen if somebody dialed the number.
Seeing as how I only sent out three rough cassette copies for review, I figured they
couldn't program in any of the tracks. The CD is mastered and ready to go,
but I can't press it until I hear back from two publishers (cover song bullshit).
Sorry for the teases. You'll also find reviews in the new Bikini and Huh. I'll
post on RMI when I have a release date.

On a footnote to nothing, I saw Cold Comfort Farm and it was excellent. It's
Heavenly Creatures with more laughs, but without the surrealism and violence.

chase, at the movies and re-constriction guy

Don't fret. They microwaved Liabach a few months ago.
