Just an ugly rumour Steph. There's no truth to it at all. :)

I ask a simple question:

I heard SMP was breaking up, anyone know what is up with this?

And these are the BS responses I get. The exact same idiotic responses I got
back in September when I decided to return the favor to this newsgroup. You
guys want to sit around and swank all the bands that post on here then go for
it. Don't be surprised if someone else continues to do the same back to you.
You want to know why I made those posts? Take a look at the extreme Jock
mentality this newsgroup has come to represent. And to think of all the time I
wasted here. I just wish I could meet you all at one place, stand there and
see just how primitive you would get. So continue to make your snide ass
comments to people's posts, and enjoy. Just know one thing, I could care less
what you say or post about me here :) This place is a joke.

Tye minute any of us gives a flying fuck about Lateral Tension, you'll
be the first to know. Maybe if you hadn't been such a twit over the past
few months, you'd get serious answers.

1. Once again: this post cant be serious...
2. You ask a simple question. One "serious" post among the multitude of
idiotic posts reminds me about that story who cried wolf all the time, until
no one believed him anymore.
3. It can't be serious since you said yourself you were friends with Jason
in previous posts...oh wait, those posts werent serious?
4. "Swank" other bands? No, just the really bad ones, the extreme spammers
and general jerks. At least as far as I know...
5. Yeah, RMI is the best place to get this info. You say this place is a
joke, but you must really enjoy hanging around here!

You lost all possible respect you could ever have on RMI and I have a

Just for the sole sake of the fact that you came onto RMI and tried to act
all badass to a reg the first post I ever saw from you, instead of actually
blowing off your site and your work, I'm going to tell you what I really
think.

I would rather listen to Heaven 17 than this. If you feel this isn't
generic breaks, by all means ... DJ Icey must be the Erik Satie of the
modern musical world. You apparantly have no idea at all about what a good
song progression is, as your elements flop haphazardly in and out of your
loops that get boring after the fourth repetition. Not to mention the
thirtieth. Spend a couple years working your way up through Cybotron,
FUSE, 808 State / A Guy Called Gerald, The Aphex Twin, and The Orb. Maybe
then you'll have a handle on how to great good acid music. As for this, it
sounds like The Prodigy circa 1994 if they were only armed with a copy of
FastTracker. Except worse.

Now get thee in my killfile.

Hey doofus-ass. Read the description below the song clips. You can read can't
you?? I specifically address the fact the the songs are PIECES of the song put
together. These do not represent the actual FLOW of the song. I wanted to
demonstrate different parts of each song with out playing the entire thing.

If you hadn't been there to try to find a reason to shoot them down maybe you
would have noticed this. By the way, where is YOUR music you cunt?? I would
like to hear it.

You are an ASS. Generic breaks?????? Did you listen to the clip called purge???
That is generic? It sounds more industrial then breaks. Also I don't use
fastracker you ASS WIPE! Did you check out my GEAR page? I use REAL synths and
samplers.

For your information, those songs were made using FLA's ACTUAL 808. And paul
barkers ACTUAL MS20. Also I bought Q's waldorf pulse that was actually used in
the Freaks Believe in Beats. You can take your fastTracker and CRAM IT UP YOUR
ASS.

The eating DJ thing for breakfast was a joke you ass flea. see black humor /
Superfluous Narcissism. But I was however earnestly responding to dingleberry
who was slamming AJ razor because I thought it was unnecessary.

If you think my music is generic you are a fucking troglodyte bunghole. Fuck
you and your stupid ass web site. Since you are such a skilled songs smith.
Please direct me to your music. You do make music right? I mean you know so
much about music...

I wasn't going to get involved at first, but the pattern in your

the max.

Continuing your lucky streak, you switch lanes to impeccable logic.

> We would all like to hear some.

Speak for yourself. I'm of the school of thought that you can
recognize a bad book without being an author yourself. Or criticize music as
generic without being a musician.

In fact, the only excuse I can think of for using a response such
as, "Well, what's YOUR music like!?" is that you want to concede the fact
that your music is generic, and merely want to convey to everyone that it's
difficult to make original music.

And I'm sure you don't want to say THAT, so rather than take so much
offense at someone's opinion, why not accept it as legitimate and simmer
down? There's no reason to act like a child when your music is criticized.
You're certainly not going to prove him WRONG.

You think that load of drivel constituted getting burned? You have low
standards. You are such a mindless drone. Do you realize that you and other fart
knockers who think you are cool are just the gothed-down version of a
fraternity/sorority type social ignorance?

That is the irony. You don't actually think for yourself, you just go with what
the popular consensus is. And who ever thinks Frontline Assembly sucks is a
complete fucking imbecile.
If every one on this newsgroup thought FLA was god you would be first in line to
praise them you pathetic spineless little dung beetle.

Thanks though, I will have to remember to switch my ISP. Because I want to be
cool too. Tell me Brett BUTT-BANDITELLI, what do I have to do to be cool? Is FLA
not cool? Ok I don't like them any more. My ISP isn't cool? Ok, what is a good
ISP for people who like industrial music?

Please enlighten me,

You're certainly not going to prove him WRONG.
To be honest if someone doesn't like my music that is fine. But when I can tell their assesment is based trying to find an excuse to cut me down then they can kiss my ..."ASS".

Plus he was going off about how fucked up the song structure was, when I had specifically described in the caption of each song that each clip was comprised of different parts of that song to save space.

Me asking him about his music had nothing to do with your interpretation of why I did it. He tried to come off as being so knowledgable about what makes music good, and why mine wasn't good. I thought it kind of hypocritcal and rude for someone to who doesn't even make music to try to "inform" me of such elements. So I wanted to know if he even made music at all (I suspected he didn't). And if he did what does this wonderous gift to music sound like?

Your motivation to interact with me seemed rational and substantive for the most part, so I respond accordingly. So what is the variable? Hmmm, I wonder. We will have to agree to dissagree as to how I should react to such antagonism, but I for one believe in defending myself and setting the record straight.

Fuck that turning the other cheek crap.

Later,
-Freak.

HA HA!. I just went and listened to your first track at MP3.com. Man you got some
nerve slagging my music. That was some of the most boring and uninspired crap I have
ever heard. Sounded like a bad video game sequence playing through a broken speaker.
And take it easy with the delay for christ sake. And "303 man on the run"?? Talk
about unoriginal, it just does slight variations of the EXACT SAME descending line
over, and over, and over, and over, and over, again. I stopped listening at 5
MINUTES, christ I cant imagine it went on for another two. Don't try to cover it up
by saying it is minimalist, it is just lame.

Also, I was "Freak" way before anyone thought it was a cool word. But since you talk
about how unoriginal I am, I should point out that your own description of your songs
on MP3.com was that they were "PHAT BEATS" Wow "PHAT". HA HA. You are telling me I am
unoriginal? If that aint the pot calling the kettle black.
Seriously, your music actually does suck.

Incidentally, by any one's standards you certainly don't "WIN". I should have known
that was what was important to you any way. For future reference, it is impossible to
be objective when your goal is to "WIN" the argument and prove your agenda.
"Uber-unoriginal" as you described my music, ironically describes your music to a T.
Dark and boring. Honestly, it really sounds like a bunch of cluttered, uninspired
crap.

Blow me,
-Freak.

Okay, it still is a really bad band name.

Ha. Not serious huh? You are just saying that to cover your tracks. But
now you are trying to defend "303 man". I thought you weren't serious? So
you were were trying to rile me up. In case it isn't obvious, riling
someone up by telling them their music is un-original is a pretty inane
thing to do, it is very antagonistic and rude.

So in essence you are admitting that you just wanted start a conflict, and
you thought putting my music down was a good way to do it. I don't say
anything like that unless I mean it. Even after you had put my music down
for the fun of it, when I listened to your music I was listening
objectively to see if it was good. The fact that I listened to it for 5
minutes proves that. I was waiting to see if anything good happened. (it
didn't) Had it been good I would have said well your music is good but you
are still an asshole. As it turned out, I came to the conclusion that you
are an asshole AND your music really sucks. (Yes I actually MEAN it.)

Maybe you shouldn't go around putting people down just to get them "riled
up" It really is a completely asinine thing to do. And if you are going to
say something like that, don't try to back out of it later. What a
completely spineless, and pointless thing to do and say.

Fuck off,

Yeah I consider that putting my music down. And quite an arrogant irony
considering that your music is so fucking horrible and BORING/UNORIGINAL. It
really is. You can sit there and put me down to get me "riled up" but surely
you must realize deep down that your own music actually really does suck. Maybe
that is why you put down other peoples music to get them riled up? I wish
everyone on this newsgroup would listen to your music...oh excuse me I mean...

99% of your audience aren't going to be musicians. Besides, a

The funny thing is, Pankowanker was actually telling ME how music should be done.
He said my song structure was fucked up. The reason why I responded to him in
that way is because if he would have READ the descriptions under the songs, he
would have seen that I went out of my way to point out the the song clips did NOT
represent the actual structure of the song. I put different pieces of the songs
together to save space and give people an idea of what was in each song.

But Pankowanker did not want to read that. He was just there to CUT DOWN my
songs. So I promptly told him to fuck off. Besides he claimed to know so much
about music and how it should be constructed so I find it supremely asinine and
hypocritical that he didn't even make music himself. The truth is the guy doesn't
have the SLIGHTEST idea what the hell he is talking about, and I took the liberty
of pointing that out.

He wan't arriving at his conclusions objectively which was obvious by the nature
of his post, and if some ignoramous is going to sit there and cut me down without
having any kind of foundation to base his observations on then he can kiss my
ass.

Hope this explains why I reacted to Pankowanker the way I did.

But thats a horrible way to post mp3 clips on a page. if you want people to have
an idea of what it sounds like, either post the whole song as an mp3, or post a
minute segment that doesn't butcher the song structure. otherwise, the casual
viewer will think the same thing chris did. that you don't know anything about
song structure.

and, contrary to popular belief, you don't need to make music to be able to tell
how a song should be structured. or how it should sound. or anything. its called
CRITISICM.

Case in point.

I don't need to study music to critique it, I don't need to make music to tell
you whether i think that your music is a stinking pile of horse dung. If I don't
like it, or i don't feel that the song flows properly, then I can say that. You
don't need a fucking degree to say these things.

Now, I am a musician, and i'm also studying music. Assuming that you're not
studying music (and never have - again, this is an assumption), then if i were
to tell you the same things chris did, would you suddenly bow before my supreme
authority? I somehow doubt it. So admit it. You're biting back at him not
because He doesn't have any authority on the matter, but because he hacked down
the mp3 samples on your page (i'll give you the benefit of the doubt on how
closely they relate to your music, considering a) your bit about them not really
showing the structure, etc, and b) i haven't listened to them).

I wasn't doing it to to give an Idea of STRUCTURE. I was doing it do give people a
STYLISTIC demonstrations of what where in each song. If that is a bad way to post
songs then that is a different point all together he should have said THAT instead.

Here is verbatim what my website says about the song clips:

////////////////To audition song clips: click on the song title, download the file,
then use an MP3 PLAYER or your WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER to listen to them. We have
provided
these song clips for STYLISTIC reference. Please bear in mind that these ARE NOT
COMPLETE songs and we have compressed the data significantly to facilitate faster
downlaoding. (the quality is much better on the actual CD)//////////////////

I mean seriously, the guy is telling me how bad the song structure is when the words
right next to the song specifically POINT OUT that they are not for structural
reference. That makes him an IDIOT, or maybe he just can't read. Either way, I am not
going to put up with somebody cutting down my music based on a moronic misconception.

Case in point?? What is that supposed to mean?? Is that anything like I know you are
but what am I? You could try a little harder to think of your own point for christ's
sake, instead of just trying to use something I thought of. In a very untrue, and
futile manner I might add.

No, I explained why I asked him if he made music. If you wouldn't have got your
panties in a bundle about a dying thread that had nothing to do with you, maybe you
would have READ my post about it. I "bit back" at Chris because I thought his
"observations" of my music were based on wanting to put some body down to make himself
feel good.

There are a couple posts where people actually interacted with my in a civil and
OBJECTIVE fashion and you can see that I RESPONDED in a civil and objective fashion.
Even if they DISAGREED with me. The solution is simple, if he or you can't figure it
out, that is YOUR problem.

The real question here, is what is your point?? I mean seriously. Any negativity in
the thread had already died out and you seem to be fanning the fire.

's your choice. However, if i went to a site and downloaded clips like that, no
matter what your little quote says, i wouldn't be interested (in all likelyhood,
unless the material was exceedingly good) to look for more of that material. and
what is so wrong with posting a complete mp3 of a song or two? (unless, i guess,
you don't have the space on your server)

Panties in a bundle, eh? Hah. And yeah, I have read the whole thread, and
contrary to your belief, no, i don't have reading comprehension issues. These
are the conclusions that I came up with, deal.

And how am I not civil? Sure, i'm a little snide, but out of the two of us,
which is being the least civil here? Did I ever once actually insult you, in any
of what I said?

My point is, you're dealing with this whole issue poorly.

And, that you should seriously change the samples on your page to better reflect
that music you put out.
