The following is a list of samples from some Skinny Puppy songs and
the sources of the samples. I cannot take credit for compiling this
list. I found it in a local industrial music fanzine called Technology
Works (I've also seen someone else mention this fanzine in this
newgroup before). There has been quite a bit of interest in Puppy samples
and I thought I'd submit this list to the newsgroup (re-published without
permission, of course)

SONG SAMPLE SOURCE
================================================================================

Smothered Hope How could you do such things? Alfred Hitchcock's
The world's a hell, what does it matter Shadow of a Doubt
what happens in it?
The electric chair.

Brap You cannot hurt me you fool! I am not Andy Warhol's
one of you. Dracula

The Choke If you cut off my head, where would I Roman Polanski's
stay? Me in my, me in my head or me The Tenant
in my body.
Take out my stomach, my kidneys. Assuming
that were possible. And I say "Me and my intestines."
Would I have my head call myself?

Basement Why are you here? Does no good. Nother The Legend of
changes, nothing. Get out or I'll hurt Hell-House
you. I can't help myself! I don't want to
hurt you but I must. Get out of this house
before I kill you all!
Drug addiction, alcoholism, sadism, bestiality,
mutilation, murder, vampirism, necrophilia,
cannibalism, not to mention a gamut of sexual goodies.

Church Church In Hell. The Legend of
Hell-House

Dig It Do you hear that? The Music! A Band! Twilight Zone
Do you hear it? episode "Elegy"

Love All together. Naked, drunk, clutching The Legend of
sweating, biting. Hell-House
Touch me. Touch me or I'll find somebody
who will!
I love you too.

Shadow Cast They live on fear. They live on fear. Texas Chainsaw
You got that last slaughter on tape, you Massacre II
play it on the radio.
It's a dog eat dog world and where I've been
there just ain't enough damn dogs.

Worlock Now is the only thing that's real. The Charles Manson
police used to watch over the people, on his Lie album
now they're watching the people.

Testure I hope you make sure we're properly dead Anti-vivisection
before you start, old Rip-Beak! animated film,
I'd rather die here than in the White "Plague Dogs"
Coats' tank. It's little enough dignity
we've got left.

Second Opinion That machine has got to be destroyed! From Beyond

============================================================================

Well, that's the list. Personally, I think we should have a contest to see
who can identify the most clips from the Warlock video (actually, how about
both the released and unreleased versions! :-) Maybe we can give away
free passes to the next horror film of your choice.

"Worlock" also features Charles Manson reciting some
lyrics from the Bealtes' "Helter Skelter" (the movie
by the same name was on TV last night!).

FINALLY my site gets r.m.i ...and to my delight I see SP samples being
discussed. I'm going to post a few files which should show how much of
a SP nut I happen to be. These lists were created by myself, Paul Moore,
Ken Chasse and ...I hope I'm not forgetting anyone. These files list
song title and times the samples occur, and where possible, identify
what we think to be the source. Heavily repeated samples are not listed
each time they occur, usually just the first..

can assure you now, very confidently...
HAL 9000, from the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey"

[3:41] A year ago exactly on this same night we were assembled
here in this very room. I your pastor and you my beloved
flock. With hopefulness in my heart, I told you then that
with Lucifer's aid we might look forward to a more succulant
occassion. Cast back your mind. There we were, gathered
together gloomy and despondent, around that single meager
woodcut...

[4:18] ...I feel much better now.
HAL 9000, from the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey"
