So the potential haujobb Atlanta date has since been canned? Just
because our venues suck and you'll lose a ton of money by stopping in
Atlanta doesn't mean you shouldn't come - it's the experience that
counts! I bet a bowl of grits and some black-eyed peas would do those
boys some good. They can stay at my place...

What about the Carolinas? North? South?

I've heard the "scene" is huge in Tennesee - country music has a lot
of similarity with electro, now with the new Snog CD and all. How
about Knoxville?

I'm positive Birmingham 6 got their name from Birmingham, Alabama -
so why not have haujobb go there? Heck, the Klan over there know
about being figureheads (or in this case, Grand Dragons) on a ship of
fools.

Please don't make me drive to New Orleans.

you know we actually tried to find a club or sponsor in birmingham for that
one, but with the guarantee it just semeed too unlikely.

They actually got it from the Birmingham (england) 6 - an infamous group of
criminals.

I had heard that a July 30th performance in New Haven, CT (Alley Cat Club) was
definite. Does this mean it's cancelled now?

you should see the bluebird here in denver, where they're playing.
the last time i was there, my ass fell through one of the seats.
the springs were disintegrated or something, and the cushion just sank.
its really old, and its "shabbiness" really outshines its "tradition."
if you know what i mean...

I don't think you can blame the promoter - if I was promoting
haujobb I sure would have to think twice before booking Atlanta. Name
a club that would bring in enough fans to make it worthwhile -
- 688? Hardly. I doubt M&tF made enough to fill up their gas tank.
- Masquerade? They're so pissed about losing money on the last Atkins
show that came through (read last week's Creative Loafing) that I
doubt they're interested in having many more shows "just for the
fans".

I'm actually suprised the Roxy is possibly taking the risk of
booking Front 242...

I guess you missed the sarcasm bleeding heavily from my post.
Birmingham 6 obviously didn't get their name from Alabama, and
Tennesee is obviously the anti-mecca of electronic music.

Is this date definitely accurate? I've also heard the 25th. I'd
prefer the 26th, that's my birthday.

And is this a definite change from the original announcement of the
tenth at the Ballroom?

-Dayv!

Oh no, now they all know where I live.

Well this means one of two things. 1) there are going to be a lot of 21
people there or 2) there are going to be a lot of 21- people there. I
really really really hope it is not all ages. I know it was when it was
suppose to be at Lees and then at Opera but the Warehouse will probably
want a lot of money so they'll make it all ages. Oh doesn't matter too
much where it is just as long as PP will be there. Thats all I want to
see and I don't care if they play an alleyway.

Crap, I hope it's all-ages. The under 19's deserve to see these
bands just as much as us old folks. The Warehouse may suck, but
it'll be a better venue than the Opera House. air Conditioning,
and the sound was excellent the last time 242 played there in 1992.

Project Pitchfork is a much better opening band than Stabbing
Westward, too.

Besides, since it's on a Sunday, it won't be on a night that I'm
working!
