Hi,

I've got a question for the "older" ones, who still have rememberance of
the 70'ies and 80'ies (If here are still some of those guys around...)
And for those, interested in electronic musique and the Simpsons:

In [3F19] (compare below) the yuppi talks about going to a
concert of the German group "Kraftwerk". Additionally the radio in the
car is playing some undefineable electronic Rythm.

Is this track really by KW and if yes, what's the name?
Or is this just a parody of the German techno/house culture?
"Techno Pop" (1977)

In this contex it could be something from the album "Radioaktivität"
(1975 /radioactivity/)...

Please send your answers via email, too.
thanx

This probably isn't the right group to ask, but what mix of Keoki's
"Caterpillar" was that?

I don't know if anyone has pointed this out, but the song that's playing
in the German guy's car when he drives away is "Vitamin C" by Erasure.

The Simpsons episode where Mr. Burns sells the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant
to Germans is called "Burns Verkauferen Der Kraftwerk".

Well, given that kraftwerk is German for power station, this isn't
necessarily a link to everyone's favourite reclusive Germans.

I'm well aware, but I'm also sure that the Simpsons writers were well aware of
the double entente.

UGG! I just realized something. Does that mean that when Germans
refer to that one-off thing with Robert Palmer and John Taylor, they'd

call that "Kraftwerk" too? Aaaaahhh!! :)

On a somewhat related note, Kraftwerk fans (and Kraftwerk haters too)
should check out The Big Lebowski for a hilarous subplot involving a
band called "Autobaun". Actually, everyone should check it out because
it's great.
