That's great, I think I mentioned something to that effect earlier. Except
for one little detail. It's "Kein Mitleid fuer die Mehrheit," not the
other way around. The way you have it, it means, "No majority for the pity."

"K Mehrheit FD Mitleid", so they didn't need to look and type in what was actually
on the page... but this seems increasingly unlikely. Of course, it's completely
bizarre to think that it was REALLY written this way in the newsletter, because
if Sascha and/or En Esch, who allegedly wrote the newsletter, are actual Germans,
then their German is really fucked up. Here we have two wrong definite articles,
as well as a completely incomprehensible phrase ("No Majority for the Pity")...
Or, maybe their German is fucked up on purpose to increase the level of hilarity
in the idiotic fan wars over what the letters mean. This seems likely to me,
as I've said elsewhere.

Yes--it stands for something in German like Kein Mitgefuhl Fur Die Mehrheit
(I'm not sure exactly what it was, but I saw it the other day in a book when I
was looking up Einsturzende Neubauten) but translated into English means
something to the effect of "no sympathy for the majority".

what The the German word that exactly meant majority was!
Is easy to do with a noun like "cat" for instance, but you can't with words
than express ideas/emotions/thoughts/etc.
Masses, majority, The MAN, are all very similar terms and I doubt there are
distinct German words that differentiate between the subtle meanings.
This is something I find very obvious and it amazes that not only can no one
think a little bit and try to figure things out for themselves but they obsess

No, of course there aren't. Everybody knows that the German language is
still stuck on the level of simple, non-abstract nouns and can use verbs
only in present tense. Why, some of those Krauts are still banging on each
other with clubs when they want to make a point.
"Die Masse", "Die Mehrheit", "Die Menschheit". And the differences between
these aren't even subtle for the most radical democrats out there.

people who came UP with the name might actually know what it meant. Yes,
I know loads of bands tell bullshit stories about themselves for a laugh
(Paradise Lost recently told a Dutch journo they sounded like Tom Petty),
but I thought it sounded reasonable: I *did* do German in high school, but
it was a VERY long time ago. Other acronyms I've heard that you would

slid impossibly slowly down the wall, and horrified denizens of the lab cast their
eyes away from the bloody streak left between two mangled terminals. Keith,
finally driven to the edge of sanity-- and beyond-- by circular discussions of
KMFDM's "meaning", stood, wild-eyed and gasping for breath, beside the twisted
corpse of his hapless and random victim.
