Another veteran of the Godlen Era departs.
Really sorry to hear that. I had telephoned him about three months ago, but
could not establish contact. Little did I know that he had had a stroke.
As a matter of fact, I was looking up my phone list just yesterday to call
him up again one of these days.
May God rest his soul in peace.

A friend of mine knew Kwatra Sahab quite well and was
in touch with him even after he had the stroke. He gave
me a piece of information which I don't recall reading
before : Suraiya (who sang for him in Goonj) was his
step-sister.

He wasn't the MD for Ishtili / Ashtalli. I am told the correct
spelling is Ashtalli and its MD was Vinod.
