My favorite has been from the film TAXI DRIVER, where Rashid Khan
keep
telling Dev 'Hero, Show Karwa Lo'
Members, who have similar fond memories from other films are requested
to express their views. This thread actually belongs to Film Group.
But, there
is hrdly any activity at that forum.
Incidentally, the best episode in this category was enacted in English
film -
THE STING, where Paul Newman 'lagao Chunna' to Robert Shaw.
When Shaw looses a large chunk of money, he asks Robert Redford
'How does your boss wins ' to which Redford replied - 'He Cheats'.
The film's review can be read at following URL

properly summerized it at the end of the game
Shree 420 is another film. RK holding a hand that is known as
'Mooff_lees' ( 2,3 & 4 or 2,3 & 5). He makes a phone call to his
fictitious brother or some family member for permission to raise the
stakes. Predictable result - he wins, as the Sethji surrenders.

Not a teen-patti, but the film proper in Angoor starts
with a card game.
Deepti Naval, in all seriousness, says
"jiijaajii, vo paa.Nv meraa hai"
sets the tone for the hilarious film that
follows.

A must see movie (Sting). Winner of 7 Oscars.

Kala Pathhar has several Teen Patte scenes involving MacMohan. He is
the local conman who dupes the villages in a game of cards. Shatrughan
Sinha takes him on and asks him to deal. Mac gets three ranis
(queens). Shatru gets two baadshahs (kings) and a lower card, but
claims that he has 3 kings. When asked to "show" by Mac, Shatru
reveals the two kings. When asked for the third king, he proudly
proclaims, "Teesre baadshah hum hain" and walks away with the cash!
There is another senti scene involving Mac towards the end of the
movie when the mine is flooded. Three men are stranded in the mine by
the elevator which can carry only two at a time to safety. Time's
running out as the water level is creeping up. Mac suggests that they
draw cards to decide who goes first. One of the men draws a three and
accuses Mac of cheating. Mac has indeed pulled a fast one, but only to
sacrifice his life for his friends. He reveals his card - a two - and
says, "Taash ka sabse chhoTa patta tiggi (3) nahin, duggi (2) hota hai
mere dost!"
As his friends escape, Mac is engulfed by the water, and the camera
zooms on the duggi floating on top.
MacMohan, the eternal sidekick, had a presence of his own - perhaps
due to his characteristic beard and the grey tuft of hair. Does anyone
have more info about him?
Kala Pathhar was among Rajesh Roshan's better scores. I wonder why he
"pulled an RDB" :-) in the first few notes of "Ek raasta hai
zindagi...." It spoilt an otherwise nice composition. It was one of
Sahir's last hurrahs as well.

I am a fan of MacMohan. Some info I have about him is that he was an avid
Cricket fan and a good player in his college days. One of his favourtie
songs is Bahaaro mera jeevan bhi sawaaro. His only words in the entire 3 and
half hours in Sholay was "Poore Pachaas Hazaar" when Gabbar asks him how
much is the award that he(gabbar) carries on hs head. He is also Raveena
Tandon's mama or maternal uncle.
Arty.
On the other hand, film GAMBLER's scene /s is /are boring.
The film was a flop, though not the music.

A mere elaboration. Shatru with his trademark dialog delivery says
"abe taash ke tirpanwe patte, teesre badshah hum hain" (O fifty third
card of the pack! I am the third king).
There was an okay scene with Amitabh and Asrani in 'Hera
Pheri' (Amitabh, Vinod Khanna, Pinchoo Kapoor, Saira Banu) can't
recollect the whole scene.
The majority of the Teen Patti scenes are utterly predictable, the bad
guy will generally hold three Kings or Queens or Jacks and the good
guy will hold be one better (generally three Aces).
