Five volumes of Hindi Film Geetkosh have been published in Hindi by
the great Har Mandir Singh 'Hamraaz'.
Volume: Covers ALL films certified between the years:
1 1931 - 1940
2 1941 - 1950
3 1951 - 1960
4 1961 - 1970
5 1971 - 1980
The next volume being compiled and proposed to be published soon is:
6 1981 - 1985
These volumes provide detailed information on film banner, producer,
director, casting,
music composer/s, lyricist/s, songs-first lines, and the singers.
Information on record, cassette and cd numbers is also available.
Also available is the publication titled 'Hindi Filmography' which covers
all the films from
1981 to 2000. It has all information except song, singer and media coupling
numbers.
Other projects are in the pipeline.

I guess Dr. Singh, it would be best to clarify that the current edition
is a bi-lingual one -
and IMHO, enough English for those not too comfortable with Hindi
(such as Yours Truly), and enough Hindi so as not to dilute the sheer
pleasure of reading the masterpiece and appreciating the information
presented therein - appreciating it in the right perspective.
In his foreword, Hamraaz Sahib has also put forth the operational
reasons for the same. Even had it not been so,
it would have been a very important decision on the part of Hamraaz-Sahib -
which would have taken a lot of time to decide,
and no amount of admiration would suffice for reaching out to a larger
audience with this !
