hi there,
speaking of mahesh bhatt, most of his earlier movies dwelled on exploring the
relationship between two members of a family.

janam: father - son
daddy: father - daughter
arth: husband - wife (& mistress)
naam: brother- brother
thikaana: brother sister(anil k. and smita patil)
swayam: mother and daughters
saraansh: ??

note that there are no repeats.

also quite a few of his movie had a scene shot in the underground crossing at
church gate station, bombay.(including naam, saraansh and thikaana) and maybe kabzaa.

comments?

I must admit that out of the Mahesh Bhatt movies I have seen, not one has
been anywhere near disappointing...I liked the following :

Dil Hai Kai Maanta Nahin
Sadak (includes a carbon copy of a scene from 'lethal weapon'!)
Saathi

Out of those three I thought Saathi was the best in terms of storyline and
Dil Hai .... had best soundtrack
ttfn

VERY long ago I remember seeing "Lahoo Ke Do Rang" [vaguely remember Danny,
and Helen in it]. Was there a Mahesh Bhatt hand in it? If there was,
it was a movie I'm sure he'd rather forget in a hurry- it had more than
the fair share of cliches.

Well, since the subject of Mahesh Bhatt has come up I would
like to give the netters the names of his upcoming attempts
at the box office:

1.)Sir (Naseerudin shah, Pooja Bhatt)
2.)Dhun (Talat Aziz, Sangeeta Bijlani)
3.)Gumraah (Sunjay Dutt, Sri Devi, Rahul Roy)
4.)Hum Hain Raahee Pyar Ke (Aamir Khan, Juhi Choula)

I would have to say Saathi was my favorite Mahesh Bhatt
movie. It had great acting and decent songs.
