By the way who is this RAM-LAXMAN? I see that while Lata has cut down on her
singing, she sings almost all female songs composed by Ram-LAXMAN. Raam-Laxman
also favours using SP.Balasubraminium as his singer. I have bought almost all
LPs composed by Raam-Laxman but do not have any information on him. Any one
please.

Ram-Laxman is a very famous music director, originally from
Marathi film industry. In last couple of years he started giving music to
Hindi films too. And the name sounds as if it's a pair, but actually Ram-Laxman
is only one person.
Sadhana
your guess is partially correct. Ram-Laxman was a duo MD team, but one
of the two (I forget which) passed away recently. The living member
continues to use the team name however. Some of his/their famous
tunes come from MAINE PYAR KIYA, LOVE(?), SAATWAN AASMAN, 100 DAYS(?), etc.

Mahesh ;
Correction, Love was MD'd by Anand-Milind. Anmol and Hum Aapke Hain Koun are
the only other Raam-Laxman MD'd movies that come to mind.

Firstly, as someone already pointed out, Ram-Lakshman were a pair, but I
think the latter died sometime during the 70s, and Ram continued to compose
music using the duo's name.
"Tarana" *ring Ranjeeta and Mithun was scored by Ram-Lakshman and had the
pretty popular song by Usha Mangeshkar
"Sultana, sultana, mera naam hai sultaana
mere husn ka har andaaz mastaana"
There was also a duet (one of those "I don't care about pneumonia" rain songs)
which I cannot remember, which was pretty nice.
"Saawan Ko Aane Do" was scored either by Ravindra Jain or RaajKamal (most
probably the latter). So that is not a Raam-Laxman film (what was this thing
that the Rajshri people had with music directors whose name began with R :-) )

OK OK, Maarif, I accede before thine superior knowledge not to
mention thine superior number of followup postings. :)
