Cabbage-Brain at Works, Discovery # 1 (Hind Times article)
=============================================

Ever since Young Frankenstein performed his path-breaking brain
replacement operations, there has been lot of 'Uthal - Puthal'
all over the world.

Some of Doctor Frankie's followers in India used cabbage-heads
(becuase it is a vegetarian product), instead of highly reliable
monkey brains.

I have found quite a number of music / films related articles in last
few months, which it seems were written by such homo sapiens, who
were fitted with low shelf-life brains.

Please read the article on the song: Dum Maaro Dum (Film: HARE
RAMA HARE KRISHNA) at below listed link

1 The song is not a solo, but was rendered by: Asha Bhosle, Usha
Iyer (nee: Uthup)
and chorus. Miss Iyer contribution was just 1 or 2 'alaaps'.

2 The song duration is 2:33 / 2:34 minutes On LP it is the B-
side's 3rd song and on
CD, it is the 6th track

On my 2-disk VCD, the song duration is about 2:26 minutes
and is featured as
one scence along with song: Dekho O Deewano / Kishore Kumar +
Chorus

3 Yes, there is another short version of this song which is about
1:52 minutes duration
This shorter song is less desirable than the above listed song.
On LP, as well as
on CD it is the 1st song and again it is not a solo, but
rendered by the same artists as
the before mentioned song.

4 The write-up failed to mention an interesting point, that Zeenat
played the role of
Dev's younger sister in this film. In all other films, the were
paired romantically.

I find it hard to believe that among the top 10 songs of the century, only one from the fifties and none from the forties.

It is hard to put any credence into such a list. More so when there are songs from both 20th and 21st centuries. Which century *are* they talking about?

In the Info Box section, the MD is listed as: Jatin - Lalit.

However, in the article body, it is correctly stated (but wrongly
typed as RD) R D Burman)
