In this song also many of the words are uttered in a
prolonged way, those improvements may be at a later date.
Chorus part from the movie version, added in the lyric.

The more I think about "~", the less I want to have these as part of the
lyrics. After all, how would we iTrans a totally classical bandish then,
like "ari ae rii aalii piyaa binaa....", and wht kind of length of
'elongation' would "~" provide!!!!

Same goes for "aalaaps", at least IMPO.

What say others?

I agree. iTrans is for transcription of lyrics. It is not for encoding the
rendition of those lyrics or melody or any thing else. It will get very
complicated if one were to start encoding inflections in words. I favor
keeping it simple for now.
