does anyone have a list (not necessarily a COMPLETE listing) of movies
worth watching *ing Amitabh?
If not maybe someone can recommend a few to watch?? preferably from the
early 80's or seventies....

Hey, don't forget ANAND and NAMAK HARAAM: granted, they were primarily
Rajesh Khanna movies, but AB was outstanding too. And I rate
TRISHUL
among the best of Amitabh movies. I think this is where his image of the
angry young man around town actually got intensified.

Among the other really good ones are
1) DEEWAAR
2) ZANZEER
And of course, we have Amitabh the poet in
3) KABHIE KABHIE
This and SILSILA have probably the best poetry among all of Amitabh's
numerous films.

I think I am going to start a controversy, hard-core Kishore Kumar fan
that I am.....
Anybody notice, that Amitabh never really sparkled in his macho image
after Mohd. Aziz started singing for him instead of Kishore Kumar? Also,
very few songs became *REAL* superhits, after KK was replaced (I am outraged)
by Mohd. Aziz.
Anybody know why this happened???

Hey by the way, I recently saw Akhree Raasta again, and although AB looks
old, he still has the charisma in his older role. ... Another movie well
worth watching....

Yes, John, Jani and Janatdan were the 3 names Amitabh had in Naseeb (supposed
to signify that he did not have a particular religion).
But it was also a movie released a couple of years after Naseeb. But it
was not a hit, and I don't think it had Amitabh either !!

Not to forget " Faraar" in which he plays a culprit who holds his old time
fiance (in the movie) Sahrmila Tagore as a hostage...as he breaks out of a
prison

Here is my list of AB's good movies.
DEEWAAR in my opinion is the best movie of his. Rest are as
follows:

Zanjeer, Abhimaan, Muqaddar Ka sikander, Shakti,
Bemisaal, Aakhiri Rasta, Kaala Pathar,
Sholay, Mili, NamakHaraam, Main Aazaad Hoon, Akela,
Amar Akbar Anthony, Naseeb,

And the list goeson and on ..........

I haven't included any new movie,which do not reflect good on
him, like:
Toofaan, Shahenshah, Jadoogar, Mard etc etc........

I think my favs by Lata are: (in order)
Nainon men badra chaaye (Mera Saaya)
Aap ki nazron ne samjha (Anpadh)
Lag ja gale ke phir ye raat ho ke na ho (Woh kon thi)

...and there are hundreds more!
