Telugu Film Songs and Raagas.

Just to raise the interest among the readers, Vijay says that the song
"Himagiri Sogasulu" song is based on raagam "Jayjayvanti", it is easy
for us to identify any other similar songs composed in the same raaga.

Example: there is a song in "Yamagola" Aadave Andaala Surabhamini...
This song is composed of more than one raaga though it is not a
raaga maalika. The bit "Aruvadi Naalugu kalalandu metini,
Amaranathuniki primathutini, saraalato, meni virasaalato......
saatileni srungaara sravantini, Jayavantini, Jayajayantini...
goes the song.

Now relate the pallavi with the song which Vijay mentions -
Himagiri Sogasulu... There is a pallavi "Yogulaina-mahabhogulaina,
Manasupade, manogna seema," . It is easy to identify that this song
is also in Jayjayvanti.

Similarly, Vijay mentions of a song "Raava Kanaraava" in raag
Bhaageswari. There is a similar song in Maya Bazaar "Nee Kosame
ne Jeevinchinadi - Ee virahamulo, ee niraasalo" If I am correct,
this is also based on the same raag. Raag Bhageswari is normally
used for "Viraham".

I had taken the liberty of adding the above to Vijay's contribution.
Hope Vijay does not mind.
