Alys Faiz, journalist and activist, was born on September 22, 1914.
She died in Lahore on March 12, 2003, aged 88.
"BEST KNOWN as the spirited wife of the Pakistani poet, Faiz

who fought long and hard for democracy and human rights
in her adopted land."
