'Anokhi Raat' (1968) was the debut film for Parikshit Sahni and Zahida.
Rafi's "mile na phuul to ham kaa.Nto.n se dostii kar lii" is picturized
on him.

You are right. Pavitra Papi was a year later, imo.

I have heard that Ajay Sahni was trained in Russia like his
father. The Stanislavsky method I beleive.Perhaps due to friendly
relations between of USSR and India at that time(despite the non
alinged status),however due to tense relations with U.S,few actors
opted for the Lee Strasberg school(Robert De Niro was a personal
favorite of Strasberg).Right now of course we have every actor going
to New York to learn those techniques, most of them unfortunately have
proven to be lousy students.
Coming back to Ajay Sahni,he was never really as magnetic or talented
as Balraj Sahni but then again I suppose it is unfair to compare a
person with a famous father.
