I invite you to attend a forthcoming series of discourses by Swami
Parthasarathy to be held in Sunnyvale, CA beginning this Wednesday, 9/29
through Friday, 10/1. Swami Parthasarathy is the renowned Vedanta
scholar from the Vedanta Academy near Bombay, India and is an
outstanding teacher who communicates in English. He is visiting the Bay
Area for the first time in a decade - so this is a rare opportunity
indeed. The event is free of charge. [Note: Swamiji's next speaking
engagement is scheduled to be in DC:10/1-10/4].
Smt. Jaya Row, an accomplished Vedantin from Bombay, blessed with a
melodious voice, will lead the chanting of the Gita verses.
TOPIC:
Swamiji is scheduled to speak on 'Stithaprajna', which is the theme of
verses 54 through 72 of Chapter II of the Bhagawad Gita. A
'stithaprajna' is an 'an ideal person living with equanimity and
discriminating wisdom' - the discourse will outline the qualities of a
stithaprajna and provide a roadmap on how one might go about
incorporating those qualities in oneself in the context of modern
living.
