The meaning of "Besura" in the context of the song in discussion

Lata Mangeshkar as a playback singer is a class of her own ..just like other singers and/ or contemporaries.
No singer can sing 'besura' ...else he would be thrown out by the MD concerned.
Under the circumstances..what then is 'besur or besura' ?

Besur / Besura in English means 'discordant' ( a noun); not harmonius from the LISTENERS' pov.
Lata may have sung the song the 'high pitched portion' of the song to the best of her ability; but whats more important is- as to how the listeners react. Every listener ( meaning different mindsets) is different in terms of listening maturity and repertoire experience. Listening experiences of Lata, Asha, Suman, Shamshad alone are TOO POOR for evaluation purposes-n-discussion. Moreover, quite a good many listeners have already made LATA as their veritable God and such listeners ( no fault of theirs) do not relish anything said/spoken/written/read as anti-Lata. Its a FACT that needs no proofs.
Thus, I would prefer to discuss the topic 'ONLY WITH THOSE' CHAMPIONING for Lata Mangeshkar who can provide DEMOS on the spot with the least delay and be ready to face a barrage of counter questions in the process.
After all, my present LIFE at this age of 72 is only meant: To promote/propagate, uphold-n-imbibe the 'Eternal Values of LOVE, TRUTH-n-TIME in the MINDSETS of the present generation through the rich, colorful heritage of Indian Cine Music...with LOVE and FREE OF COST to the viewer / listener.
Its a CRUSADE - Success or Failure has no place at all anywhere' anytime.

discordant (or dissonant) is an adjective. It does not mean the same

as besura. It is a western music concept. I suggest you concentrate on
perfecting your understanding of Indian music concepts instead :)
As pointed out by multiple people here, besura is a fairly objective
notion. Do not attempt to obfuscate the issue. It reeks of poor
understanding or, worse, mala fide intentions.
Your anti-Lata "crusade" - an unfortunate usage on your part - shows
you in very bad light. For your own sake, desist from such meaningless
diatribes.
