This fellow is amazing. Using one's meager resources to pursue a
passion without expectation of any reward is a real heroic effort.

I wish they had included a more recent picture of Hamraaz ji and also
given credit to Vishwanath Chatterjee who compiled volume 5
(1971-1980).

I am to blame for that I guess. I had to scrounge around for a good
portrait of his at the last moment (the evening before they went to
press) and could not do any better than this.

So many "non artists" in the film industry get "Padma" award.
I sincerely believe "Hamraaz" deserves a 'Padma" award.
How one can go about loyying for that? I am sure president
Pratibha Patil from that generation can appreciate his effort.

In old days in RMIM meetings, somebody was always taking individual snaps during introductions. I guess it is not done any more.

Maybe it is. There are many cameras these days and an average of 273
snaps per camera (out of which an average of 153 are out of focus,
poorly lit etc) get posted on an average of 7 fora/websites/etc. I am
sure one can devise an algorithm to find a particular picture one is
looking for :)
